"Asian Field" is an installation by Antony Gormley created as a tribute in collaboration with Hong Kong secondary school students. Inspired by Gormley’s original 2003 work featuring thousands of small clay figures made by villagers, this version involves students crafting individual clay figurines. Each figure, simple yet distinct, represents human presence and collective identity. Together, the figures form a powerful visual field symbolizing unity, community, and shared humanity. This installation honors Gormley’s exploration of human scale and connection, engaging young participants in reflecting on their role within society and the broader human experience.
